A half-day stakeholders' meeting: "FARMERS WILLINGNESS TO PAY FOR AGRO-WEATHER ADVISORY SERVICES", held at Sarova Panafric Hotel in Nairobi on August 9th, 2023.
The Tegemeo Institute of Agricultural Policy and Development at Egerton University has conducted a study on farmers' willingness to pay for agro-weather advisory services. The study gathered survey data to determine farmers' demand for these services, whether subscriptions can be sustained, and whether subsidies or private sector discounts are necessary. The findings inform ongoing discussions on the sustainability of government-supported weather advisory services. A half-day stakeholders' meeting will discuss the findings and formulate key implications at the Sarova Panafric Hotel in Nairobi on August 9, 2023
